They were wonderful when we asked to watch the tv, as the world cup football was on. They let us watch and all the locals at the bar joined in with the banter and cheering! If you want a decent meal to eat with the kids, without having to dress up stop here. It is also a small shop with snacks, drinks, newspapers etc.
Ok this is our local, but tonight home made fois gras, two superb pizza's, a lot of wine!!! 27 euro, warm friendly, its what life in France is all about, you really could'nt better it were you to visit our other local, Le Vieux Logis (1star michelin)

This unpretentious village restaurant, has to be the best value in the Dordogne,we have visited on many occasions, and they remain consistently great with quite the best pizza 's, "proper "hamburgers, the best "homemade fois gras "with a delicious onion and pomegranite confiture,oh and great house wine,we ate there on friday night two superb burger savoyades, duck and frites,a brilliant pizza, a litre of rose, how much?? 37euro 's !!!!!(previous visit the two of us, two pizza 's bottle of wine and we had change from 20e!!!)great kids menu with the adjacent play area make perfect for a family holiday meal, the staff and owner Sylvie are really friendly.
The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and well made. If you are familiar with France it can be difficult to have your steaks, burgers etc cooked to your liking. That is not a problem here. The chef, Claire, (who speaks English if you need help) does a fantastic job of hand making pizzas and ensuring that everything else arrives at the table at the same time. This cafe is a meeting point for local people. It was busy for a winter month in this summer tourist area, a true testament that they serve good food with great service.
