Resort Yacht Y Golf Club Paraguayo

The place is gorgeous but the food served on the buffet was not so good. Few options and the salad bar was horrible.

To start the front desk people were somewhat rude on arrival, like they were not nice as they should be when you arrive, they are the first face of the hotel on arrival. The bellboy was very nice, so nice he made us forget the previous experience with the reception desk. The rooms are very nice we booked two. One of them the AC was not working to enough to battle the heat of Asuncion summer and leaking permanently and maintenance people came in once and fix it but it never cooled as to be comfortable. In the other room we found roaches at night, both nights. Both rooms were very nice with a good TV but the cable reception wasn’t that good. There were plenty of channels on the list but some of them didn’t work. The internet WIFI was not good either, I had to change an app password and I received a message that a password had been changed from a place in Chicago ?? There was a very comfortable and spacious desk but there was no place to plug-in the computer, the closest one was to far for the cable to reach. Overall it was mediocre for the price and the fame of the place in Asuncion, but the people that work there except for the ones at checkin deserve the best stars. Because with all the deficiencies of the Hotel always had a smile and were ready to help, like all people in Paraguay they were

This is a great resort. There is a beach on the back with Argentina over the river. There are also some clay tennis courts, I wish I had my rackets when I visited. The rooms seem pretty dated, but very well maintained. This is the place to stay when you visit Asuncion or the surroundings.

Large hotel half hour from Asunción on Paraguay River Margen, many sports facilities.
