Crossing the small boat ramp to the tiny island in front of the restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy your meal while watching the seals. Just a heads up—there's no trash can, so please remember to clean up after yourself. I often bring an extra bag since there can sometimes be litter from other visitors, and I like to leave the place cleaner than I found it. Overall, I highly recommend this spot!
We were informed that the wait time would be an hour and a half, but it ended up being closer to two hours, only to find out that our friend's order had been lost. My husband received his food 25 minutes after mine, so we couldn't eat together. They don't have a numbering system and don't even take your name, which would help with organization and monitoring staff. It's a nice little outdoor spot, but they definitely need to improve their system. There's no reason for it to take two hours to get a poutine, especially when there weren't even 28 cars in the driveway.
This restaurant features a takeout window with a beautiful ocean view deck. The food is outstanding, with generous portions and a fantastic kids' menu. They serve the best burgers I've ever tasted. I've visited five times, and each visit has been wonderful. To find it, simply veer left toward the docks; it's just beyond the docks, around the bend.
I accidentally discovered this fantastic takeout spot with outdoor seating and a beautiful ocean view. It’s truly a hidden gem! The fish and chips here are among the best I’ve tasted since Bar Harbor, Maine. The portions are generous as well, making the trip to Deer Island well worth it.
