After paying, I requested to purchase a small piece of Cajun chicken breast for my sick relative at Kings College Hospital. The dark-haired lady rudely refused, but the blonde lady insisted that I purchase the chicken in a wrap with salad. I did not want it that way and was prepared to pay for it separately. The lack of customer service was evident, and I felt unwelcome as a regular customer. I was disappointed by their attitude and the failure to accommodate my simple request. I will not be returning to this place and would instead choose a different restaurant where I am sure to receive better service and a smile from the staff.
This was my second visit... formerly for lunch with my wife, this time to me... Coffee and cakes. Café Florence is a jewel of site ... small, but full of everything that is good about the culture of coffee. Coffee is excellent, the variety and quality of food is exceptional and service is a delight. I haven't stopped thinking about the rich chocolate and coconut and the mini Pistachio cream-Horn all day!
Located near the hospital, we decided to visit Florence's Cafe, named after our baby (yes, we know, a bit sad). We have been there a few times now (unfortunately, our child is not getting better). The pros include a bit of outdoor seating (although Denmark Hill could be quieter), good coffee, a nice atmosphere, a variety of delicious sandwiches and salads, a wide selection of cakes, and some cozy indoor seating. However, there are also some cons that I hope the restaurant takes into consideration: they overcrowd their window and display with too many goods, resulting in stale baked goods such as today's flapjack. They should focus on presenting their food in a more appealing manner with nice bowls, which would also enhance the taste. It is recommended that they reduce their inventory to cut down on costs and improve their overall presentation.
Been here for lunch a couple of times recently and it is certainly worth taking a look at. I haven't tried anything like the variety of things they have, but everything seems excellent. various salads, panini, etc. and a lot of tempting attributes cakes. So far I've had a couple of their abundant salads that are freshly assembled. At first I was a little worried about lack of carbohydrates, but they were enough for a good meal.
After spending years working in south London, I have become familiar with most of the cafes in the area. I always seek out the perfect coffee and food, and I found it here. The service is excellent, and they offer a selection of homemade food and cakes, including gluten-free options. The fresh salads, toasted paninis, and jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings are all delicious choices. You can't go wrong dining here.
