Lounge - Lambeth

I stopped by for a break and was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered fresh juices. I ordered a combination of banana, apple, and kiwi juice, and it tasted delicious. The setting was lovely with quirky music, lively paintings, and open windows. It was the perfect refreshment for a sunny day.

I haven't visited this restaurant in a long time, but recently went there to catch up with an old friend. I ordered something from the menu (beans on toast) and the server was very accommodating and fulfilled all of my requests. I also ordered a freshly squeezed juice, but I recommend asking for the pulp to be filtered out because towards the end, about 20% of the juice was inaccessible due to the pulp. The staff was very attentive and I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. I give it 5 stars!

I visit this restaurant at least once a week and have tried most places in Brixton. In my opinion, this restaurant is the most consistent in terms of service, food, and comfort. It is a personal favorite of mine. I always feel welcomed and never rushed (I'm a writer, so I have spent hours there with just a coffee). The decor is charming, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent, especially for brunch and small snacks. The lunchtime wraps are delicious, and I have also enjoyed some great evening dinners. The drinks, including cocktails and coffee, are top-notch. The restaurant is a great spot in the evening to meet with friends and I have observed that they are accommodating for groups and families. The cakes, in particular the caramel apple pie, are delightful. I highly recommend this place at any time of day or night. It offers better value than other places and has a much friendlier atmosphere.

Cards on the table; I've been coming here for years. Tasty unpretentious food (try the excellent jerk chicken burger) served amid a gentle bluesy musicky vibe by friendly staff with a choice of tables or sofas to relax in. Tonight I'm surrounded by a cosmopolitan mix of customers enjoying dinner and a drink; if I'm honest I'd like the beers on draught to be a tad more adventurous (Blue Moon and Star a bit early 2010's) but I'm just picking holes. I'm a local and I love hanging out here, Simple As. Very accessible and I'd recommend to anyone getting into Brixton as a place to live or visit as a place for a lunch or supper.

Fantastic jerk chicken lunch! Staff accommodating and recommended the awesome carrot smoothie too. Something for everyone.
