The Prince Regent - Lambeth

We were once or twice in the prince regent, but never ate adn always wanted to try as there is a nice old pub, bright, airy, lots of space and always a good atmosphere inside. have met with some friends on this given Sunday a start over a roast and beer. we ordered 3 x roast beef 16) and 1 roast chicken 12) was served quite quickly considering how busy they were. all tasted good, beautiful damp slices of bark meat, good roasted pots, cubed red cabbage, flower cauliflower cheese, and strangely some bok choi, maybe it was Asian fusion Sunday. just something to weep, were the portions for the price, a little too small for a Sunday roast or maybe I have to go...read more

We were coming to the hill, but in a pub pit. the prince regent has a big call, or at least, but at this time not very impressed. while a nice atmosphere and decent burger, the service was bad had to leave after menus and bill our dirty teller on our unclear table. a previous visit pushes the number of points up to a 3 but could be better. The prinz regent really wanted to like a lot more than me. the atmosphere was busy and warm when we came to lunch on Saturday and we were entertained by the choice of board games. I had the little eckage and gruyere risotto, which was a great part, but much too rich in taste for something that is great. tasty but overwhelming. friend enjoyed his burger very much, but the prinz regent was made by the service we had to get up and ask for menus and then with empty tellers for 15 minutes before we had to go and ask for the bill. I'm sorry, because it was proper to eat.

Disappointing. I have added the start a tab service charge ' stab also. this was to order despite the bar, then get cutlery, a dirty ketchup bottle, a sad looking court of mayonaise and a used serviette as part of the service '. the burger was expensive and came with an ugly, sweaty piece cheddar and a thick piece of back-bacon, which could easily be fought, complete with white balls fat. the salate was clearly over, best in a heavy vinaigrette. this was with a shallow looking tomato that I could not say whether it had been dried, grilled or simply left on the side too long. the chips were nice. The kitchen is high quality, best burger and wedges around for sure. Good wine too. Always a relaxing, fun atmosphere with friendly staff.
