Six Senses - Lamego

This was our second visit and we absolutely love this hotel. Our break started off challenging when our airline failed to deliver our luggage on a bank holiday weekend so when we arrived at the hotel we were quite stressed and upset... however we were greeted with a wonderful room upgrade which had the most amazing views which helped us to relax. We were then introduced to a fantastic lady called Angela in the hotel spa shop who helped us find some clothes and basic essentials until our luggage arrived 2 days later. Not only is the hotel totally amazing but just as importantly, if not more important, is the team of staff at the hotel who were truly very kind to us and turned our vacation around from a very stressful start to an amazing break. We cannot thank the whole team enough even before we arrived the GEM team helped us book a variety of activities, restaurants and an amazing wine tasting experience at the hotel. We are already looking at dates for our third visit. I would also like to add that the food in the restaurant is gorgeous

I was expecting an even more secluded location, but even with a few houses in the background, far far far away... that was magical. Great Hotel, fantastic breakfast, exquisite dinner and service overall impeccable. I'll be back!

I have travelled to about fifty countries and have stayed at some amazing hotels and the Six Senses Duoro Valley is in the top three. The rooms were amazing, spacious, beautiful, high quality beds, robes, rain shower, luxury all around. The service impeccable, the delicious food was fresh and organic from their own garden and all staff goes above and beyond. The view cannot be captured in pictures! If in Duoro Valley, this is the place to stay.

Best place ever, you dont want to leave,river views, wine tasting, organic meals, the best spas you can find, customer service Superb, if you want to get pampered.It like a Tuscany, but with a spa and a river .We had a great time, beautiful views, beautiful area,beautiful people, excellent service

My husband and I just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary this week at Six Senses Douro Valley. The experience we had was nothing less than spectacular. The staff made our stay beyond special. This property is magical made up of a wonderful team of caring people and of course the staff dog Agua. I was sad leaving but happy knowing I can one day return.
