Malibu Farm Restaurant Bar - LANAI CITY

I took a day trip from Maui and was disappointed to find that I couldn't dine at any of the Four Seasons restaurants unless I was a guest. This was quite frustrating. I hope the Four Seasons can improve this policy!

When I go out for dinner, I expect the experience to be more than just average. If I’m spending over $50 per person, I anticipate it to be significantly better than what I can prepare at home. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet either of those expectations.

I will have to admit. That was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life. The food was amazingly delicious, and the ambiance is surreal (dream). The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely recommend enjoying a meal here and allowing yourself a transcendent experience.

This October, 2019, my wife and set out to find the best Mai Tai on Maui/Lanai. We day tripped over to Lana'i and tasted Mai Tais at Malibu Farm Restaurant Bar. This Mai Tai is the real deal, and our #1 Mai Tai in Maui/Lana. The two Mai Tais we had tasted were true to Trader Vic?s classic recipe as it is to be enjoyed. Pineapple wedge, umbrella, but no cherry. Throughout decades of global travel, my family and I have never encountered the level of disregard and, frankly, mistreatment that we experienced while trying to dine here. The treatment we received from several employees was astonishing and completely unacceptable. This is not a country club; it is a hotel on an island that the Four Seasons Lanai aims to manage. If they wish to operate as a steward of the island, perhaps they should reconsider their unreasonable exclusion policy regarding non-guests. There are many people who want to visit Lanai but may not wish to stay there. This situation is a shocking and embarrassing reflection on the Four Seasons brand.
