Marksbury Farm Market - Lancaster

I just purchased two packs of ground beef. It appears to be high-quality grass-fed beef, but unfortunately, it smells spoiled, even though the expiration date is still two weeks away.

Whole Foods Market promotes its brand with the slogan "Be Happy, Healthy, and Whole" and states on its website, "Our mission is to nourish people and the planet." However, customers may unknowingly be bringing home products that are the result of illegal child labor.

I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money at this establishment. I brought in some high-quality beef, and the cuts were inconsistent at best. Additionally, the customer service could use significant improvement. I'm very disappointed with the overall product. Although Tim Farmer endorsed this business, I will never trust them with my beef again! They even indicated on the paperwork that they had five briskets from one steer, but one of those "briskets" turned out to be a rib cut that should have been ground instead. Instead, they labeled it as a brisket.

This restaurant is a disappointing example of the farm-to-table concept. The person preparing bacon behind the counter has pulled out his cell phone several times, which is really off-putting. Cell phones are dirty; people take them everywhere and use them in unsanitary situations. Allowing cell phone use while handling food is just unhygienic. Unfortunately, things have only declined since my initial review. What started as a genuine effort to bring farm-fresh food to Central Kentucky has devolved into a profit-driven endeavor, prioritizing financial gain over quality.

I visited this restaurant last year with my parents and had a fantastic experience with great food and a lovely atmosphere. I recently took a friend who had never been here before, and I raved about how good it was. However, when we arrived, everything had changed. The variety of food was gone, and the meat cooler was removed. Now, you have to order your meal using a computer, and the friendly vibe that used to be there was missing. We ended up walking out, feeling very disappointed.
