No place to sit and eat, but oh so worth it!!!! We had to stand to enjoy our absolutely amazing food from Soulcialize Catering. I'm sorry I ate it too fast to take photos, roasted pipes, gumbo over rice, Collard Greens and Macaroni cheese all to die!!! Then we bought a bunch of salsa guacamole from the Guacamole specialists, then held at Christina's Criollo and got a plate to go from the absolutely BEST Latin inspired baked chicken with Yucca, rice and beans and plantains... I can't expect to visit again to try some of the other amazing foods!
This is definitely a fun experience to simply browse all the shops and see what they offer. There were many things to see. Many products stand, bakeries, ready meals, flowers, meat. And so much more. It can definitely be crowded on weekends and parking (paid) can be a challenge to find. The shops were very organized and the place was also clean. I found that some products were on the expensive side, ie bananas with dagger stickers sale for 79 cents/lb against the supermarket, where you can buy the exactly same bananas for 49 cents a pound or less. Be a smart shopper when price sensitive. Otherwise, tap and support locals. Overall, I had a good time just walking around and eating through this central market.
I'm glad we made it! We went about there when they wanted to approach. So I got two delicious muffin in a price. It was a wonderful experience to see the combination of so many cultures in one place and I would like to buy more interesting things from the market in my next visit.
It was our first time visiting and we loved this market! I really enjoyed the fresh cut flower stands. Serval places to eat and take food home. There is a small deck are upstairs to stand and eat or take a break from the crowed. Lots of little shops right outside of the market too.
