This Isaac's was closed for renovations that included a brewery to open some time in April. I miss the decor of the original Isaac's with all the bright colors and flamingos and pretty birds. The fish tank is also gone. I guess this decor is the sign of time, but it seemed so sterile. Our sandwiches were still quite the same with some exceptions that have changed. I ordered my favorite Dr. Brown's cream soda that they had not yet received and some of their dessert menu was also not available. It seems to be sitting outside as soon as the weather gets warmer. The service was slow. But all in all, there's an Isaac's closeness when we get to Lancaster.
The food is good and consistent, the renovated dining room is much better. the new outdoor seat with trellis and fans is a good place to sit outside and eat for lunch. The service is good, but you should expect to wait for lunch.
Sandwich and soup combo was perfect to both try. The crane was delicious. Mandel Pesto Pasta Salad was also brilliant, but I was full and only tasted it. My husband enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter Mini
