Sadly some of the party had not turned up due to family problems so did inform the pub there's going to be less then booked No problem was the answer. We turned up and shown to a table. The service was good, food excellent Plenty to choose from A good atmosphere in the place and of course in summer plenty out door space We are actually going on a canal boating April, so we will be calling in again for a drink and some food
We stumbled across this delightful pub on a rainy day in Lancaster and decided to pop in for a quick drink and a bite to eat , when our food arrived we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and amount received! Very tasty and good quality made this a great find ! Will definitely visit again . Amazing location right by the side of the canal
Stopped here for lunch. Didn't look very busy but was told there was a delay on food for up to an hour. Was starving so decided to wait and food arrived after about 30 minutes. Had the club sandwich and it was delicious, as were the fries Really nice dog friendly pub, lovely staff and was so nice to sit by the canal in the sun. Would defo go back.
Cosy place by the canal, a great choice for a rainy Sunday early dinner. We had the roasted pork loin £14.99) and the fish pie £13.99). For dessert, warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. All of it was delicious! Portions are generous and the prize is very reasonable. The staff was also very kind. 10/10, will definitely come back!
Group dining with great service but food was a little bit below average. There were 12 of us dining together. The service was fantastic. However, the vegetables on the main were really disappointing, with some overcooked and some undercooked. The turkey on my portion were dry and cold. Desert was spot on with the right flavour, texture and temperature. I love coming here for pub meal, but would reconsider coming here for group dining again.
