With a huge beer garden area, plenty of shade, live music (weekend nights) and good food this restaurant is a must visit. The outside car park area doesn't do this place justice in my view but as soon as we walked in and saw the beautiful views we were keen to chill out for a few hours and enjoy some good food. The inside of the restaurant has many separate areas and includes a sports bar with wall mounted TV screens, another area (below) included racing car games and a pool table with indoor restaurant seating available. We chose to take in the beautiful views from the alfresco beer garden area. There are plenty of large group tables outside covered by shade as well as more seating areas scattered around the garden. During our visit there was a band setting up for the evenings en
Well the beer garden is great for a sunny day a windbreak could really help but the lawn by the beach is very nice, popular with families and even had music playing on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of the tavern’s fairly ordinary, so I wouldn’t bother in bad weather. Food’s standard pub food fish and chips were pretty good, both very crispy but at very high prices (so is the beer, $10 for a schooner) and they only take cash.
Endeavour Taven Lancelin is located just a few minutes drive from the main town centre and overlooks the Indian Ocean with 180 degree views of Lancelin's beautiful white beaches and sand dunes. Lancelin is the perfect location for a day trip or short stay being just over an hours drive from Perth. Your dog is welcome to join you (on a leash) in the beer garden area. You can enter from the car park via the side of the tavern to the beer garden that overlooks the beach. There are several wooden picnic style tables with shade umbrellas. You can tie up your dog around the tables so they can sit in the shade underneath.
Truth be known, all the rating comes from the location, location, location! This place claims to be the best beer garden in Australia and I think it probably is. We arrived in time for sunset and enjoyed a balmy hour or two with a meal and a mojito. We also had food but it was largely unremarkable and over priced. The boys shared a seafood basket and a kids chicken nugget basket. He had a pepper steak sandwich and I had a warm beef and noodle salad. The seafood and chippies are frozen and the salad was more noodles and lettuce than beef. The steak sandwich was the most satisfying meal but it's hard to get that wrong. Even the beer he had was flat. Would I go again? Of course! It's the best beer garden in Australia! Where else would you be on Australia Day?
A bit pricey, but worth it!. We stopped by this pub last week on our way down to Perth from the pinnacles. Upon entering we weren't sure what to expect. As a warning: you need photo ID to enter, even if you're just eating there. We had ours anyways luckily, as the brash but friendly lady taking orders asked each of us for ID first thing. The menu is pretty decent. They have all the typical pub foods: fish and chips, burgers, chicken parmi (28$ , etc. as well as pizza specials for lunch. If the price is a problem you can always opt for the more reasonable wedges(12$ , which are still a decent serving. I opted for Garlic Prawns, and the price (28$ made me a bit uneasy. But when the food arrived, it was well worth it. The portion sizing of my meal was very generous and the garlic sauce was delicious! The garnish went well with the flavours and the rice was... well, as good as plain rice in delicious sauce can be. If you eat here, be sure to sit out back. The back of the tavern overlooks the ocean and has a nice grassy area.
