Chez Giacalone - Lançon-Provence

We tried this place based on other reviews from Trip Adviser. I went and reread some of the other reviews this morning before I wrote my review to see if our experience was inconsistent. Maybe we are harder to please but I thought this place was not as good as some of the other places we had recently eaten hence it was given an average score. We do rate their salads and they are good enough to be a meal on their own. The pizzas we ordered were a little bit stodgy and the bases could have been a bit firmer. Perhaps that is personal preference and maybe if I was hungover it would have been great. The waitress was very friendly however, the service was very slow. This was consistent with a lot of the other reviews. There were a couple of larger groups when we were here. I am not saying don't go here. It is reasonably priced, and if you had a large group of family and friends and some wine it has a good atmosphere and you would probably love the place.

A nice restaurant with good service and very good salads and pasta. The pizzas looked nice too, but we didn't try them. This little town is well worth visiting, and this is a good place to have lunch or dinner.
