Le Grand Aigle - Lanester

If your visiting anywhere in the Lorient area of Brittany then a visit to the BIG EAGLE is a beneficial inclusion on your must do things, it is open at lunchtimes and evenings on a daily basis. We made our first visit there last week with friends from Camors. The food was stunning in every dept. especially the selection of fresh seafood I personally kicked of with a plate of fesh chilled oysters followed by a few spring rolls and battered prawns keeping with the marine theme I finished with fresh noir st jaques with veg, wokked in a piquant sauce excellent. My 4 pals all enjoyed immensley their food all different types and varieties. I was accompanied by my 4 year old grandson he had the time of his life, full range of foods, chocolate fountain with ice cream, a free selection of sweets jellybabies etc. and a free to play kids machine area which kept him fully occupied during our visit and he promptly fell asleep on the way home a truly amazing treat for all the family. we dined on a wednesday evening and the place was quite busy. A TOP TIP WOULD BE TO BOOK THE AIGLE IN ADVANCE OF YOUR VISIT it is a large restaurant but visiting on spec may lead to dissapointment or a lengthy wait. Prices are amazingly low for a restaurant of this quality

Been here quite a few times now with friends, really good selection of freshly cooked food. Good sushi, dim sum and desserts as well. We used to live in Birmingham in the UK and had quite a few eat-all-you-like Chinese restaurants in Chinatown in Birmingham this beats them all! Also has limited selection of raw ingredients that the chef will cook for you with a sauce of your choice. Definitely worth a visit.
