Taco Time - Langford

I go to this place at least once a month because The Chicken burrito is so good and the owners are VERY NICE and know exactly how to make my order and start it the moment I walk in the door. I like that expertise

Had some lunch there which was very good. They have a dish made with Tater Tots covered with ground beef cheer sauce etc. which was very good actually.The staff where asian and very awesome to talk with.

I agree with the previous reviewer. This might resemble Mexican, but far from it. Some kind of imitation, want to be, but definitely not Mexican. I ordered the steak burrito plate which included some rice, guacamole, fried beans and steak. It tasted worse than frozen food. I got the order super quickly, which in retrospect, made me realize everything is pre made and nothing fresh -- at least, that's how it tasted. As I was trying to give the rice a chance, it dawned on me... the taste reminded me of dry instant rice boxes you buy and make yourself... something like the Louisiana dirty rice, but nasty tasting! The price was under $10CAD, but not worthwhile for what we got. Though I was hungry and tried, I couldn't finish it. I picked at it some and threw it away... what a waste!

In a pinch for Mexican food, I stopped at Taco Time. This is not Mexican food. This is fast food that attempts to sell something closer to spicy southwestern food or what someone thinks might pass as Mexcian food. Run. And, run fast.

Taco time is located in the Westshore mall at the north west entrance to the mall, Very nice and clean restaurant, staff is very nice and polite. Food is delicious and hot. Do not miss taco Tuesdays as they have the cheapest tacos in town and two types, hard shell and soft shell. Both are excellent and filling.
