Very good burgers with very friendly and polite waitresses
I thought this chain had been dispatched to restaurant heaven years ago but six months past on a trek to Langhorne we found this location still standing as an homage to the undead. As a teen, Ground Round was a particular favorite of my father who was constantly fascinated by the sawdust on the floor, free popcorn and insanely large decanters of domestic beer. It was telling to me even as a kid that the menu itself held no particular interest to him since The Greatest Generation seemed eager to embrace any new restaurant concept that invaded their suburban idyll. Mediocrity was never the point as long as the restaurant in question sucked for all the right reasons. In retrospect, I suspect the sawdust was enough. Ground Round was Applebee 's before Applebee 's was Applebee 's serving steak like objects and gristled hamburgers smothered in whatever sauce was on hand to retard digestion and hide their burnt to a crisp pedigree a franchised honky tonk that was both inauthentic to the bone and perfectly suited to the inflation ravaged economics and joyless reverie of Jimmy Carter 's depressing Dixieland hoedown of the late 1970 's. The great news is that the formula has not changed one iota. I thoroughly enjoyed a most mediocre steak and hoisted a huge tankard of Miller High Life to the memory of my dad. No meal in recent memory has been more satisfying. And an honorable mention to Jimmy Carter who made it all possible.
Awesome food and great service. .Will definitely return again and again
We both had flat breads, both very good. Not busy good service. We will return again.
