Checked in just fine and even canceled our 2nd night due to the crazy smog situation at the time (thanks Canada) with no issues. Room was sizable for the price and was in great condition. Shower in particular was newly renovation with excellent water pressure. 1 of our remotes was out of batteries but we had 2 TVs anyway so no big deal. Bed was fine although I have so many back problems nowadays that I'm not a fair judge. Breakfast isn't included but was really good. Coffee was Starbucks but at least it was fresh (unlike most actual Starbucks stores). Got the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were the best I've had in some time. Ricotta instead of butter didn't do anything for me, however they were nicely crisped with the right amount of blueberries too. My wife liked her breakfast too. Seating setup was a little weird (very low tables) however this made it easier for my son to play around. Didn't end up using the pool but it's awesome that it was inside. Really liked how they used the outdoor space too. If I do another Sesame Place visit where I don't just drive back, I will definitely be staying here. This is best case scenario for this kind of hotel.
Awful experience with the Courtyard in Langhorne! I was traveling with my husband and 1 2 year old daughters to sesame place and decided to stay here for the close proximity to the park. My 2 year old saw a giant roach on the wall and started screaming. My husband was able to trap it in a cup, and I called the front desk to let them know about it. They insisted to come get the cup so after 20 min of waiting they came up and asked if we wanted to switch rooms. At this point my 1 year old was already asleep, and I figured every room would have the same cleanliness anyhow so i declined and asked to cancel my second night. We had no other choice but to stay since it was late, we had no other place to go, and the babies were sleeping. It was a long night of making sure no reaches crawled into the crib, i wasnt able to sleep at all. The next morning we checked out and I asked for a refund and was told I 'd have to wait a couple of hours until the manager came in . I gave them my phone number and was told I 'd recieve a call with a decision. I never heard back so i called back and was told they will not be refunding me for the night. I contacted corporate and was told I 'd get an email in return and again, did not hear back. Please see attached picture proof of how disgusting this place is! The Sheraton down the road was a much better experience on our second night for anyone wanting to stay close to the sesame place!
During my recent work trip, I stayed at the Courtyard for two nights and, as usual, had a positive experience. Upon arrival, there was a minor mix-up with my reservation, but the staff quickly resolved it and were delightful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a couch and a chill area that I appreciated. The bartender at the restaurant was welcoming and recommended tasty options like chicken tenders in buffalo sauce and a delicious meatball flatbread. The Margarita was perfect and the bartender's friendly demeanor made my night. I highly recommend staying at any Courtyard by Marriott location for consistently great experiences.
They charged me $270 for a $154 room charge. If I hadn 't looked at my bank statement I would not have known. I checked in and out with the mobile app and had no contact with the front desk. The General Manager Antoni told me it was a hold as a security charge, and he had credited it. I had never authorized it so how did I get charged. He said there was and email, but when he looked for it and found no email then agreed I wasn 't notified. He said they would have told me at the front desk but I never went to the front desk, I had a mobile key. Isn 't $120 security fee exorbitant for a $154 room?? Shouldn 't a hold be cleared when you check out and the only thing on your card be the charge for the room? I stayed there before so looked at those statement 's and the hold charge never appeared before, just the room charge was listed. Why was it there this time and still there 24 hours later, and in addition, only credited when I called about it?? Be careful!
