Dorothy's Veggie Bistro - Langreo

It's not easy to find a dedicated vegetarian place in majority of rural Spain and I was pleasantly surprised we located this restaurant in rural Cantabria. I love the use of local products and veggies growing in Spain are delicious. We also tried local unrefined sunflower oil dipping pieces of bread into it and it tasted very good. The interior is very cozy and the staff is friendly and attentive. This place is not far from Solares village, about 15-20 min drive , and quite close to Cabarceno nature reserve, for those vegetarians visiting the park, it will be a perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner.

Out-of-the-way but worth finding! Doing sterling work in converting carnivorous locals to a more veggie diet, you can find everything on the menu: local specialitied reinterpreted without meat, vegan specials, amazing burgers, and heavenly deserts. What a pity that, for the time being, it’s only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays! Top marks!

We meet with the existence of dorothy's through the networks and point out their cozy decoration and culinary proposal, so we encourage ourselves to go try. This is a very nice place decorated, with a small vegetarian letter (not vegan, something that attracted us quite attention). We tested the nachos, the gyozas, the dorothy of the famine and the twix cake. highlight that the rations are quite spitted and the prices raised. What brought us the most was the burger, it was amazing. that is, quite small for the 14 euros worth. as negative points, the fact that they do not offer tap water and collect water filtered by 2.50 and the message they have put in the refusal to admit pets instead. This does not last so long for the fact if, but by the way of expressing it. It seemed a little out of place. It's a shame they don't admit animals in a place like this. In short, it is worth getting closer to trying as it is a place with a different offer, but be aware that you will pay more than half so you can offer other places not so chick but with the same quality, and much more.
