The Lark - Larksville

My family of five stopped here on a Wednesday morning. The service was fast and friendly, and my french toast was really good.

My husband and I were on an outing to a greenhouse not far from Tammy's Kitchen. After we purchased our flowers, my husband pulled into Tammy's parking lot saying that it was lunchtime and he had seen the restaurant on Facebook. It's a small diner type place with an eclectic atmosphere. Most of the customers seemed to be regulars which I took as a good sign. They are opened for breakfast and lunch so my husband chose Stuffed French Toast and I had a Cheesesteak and fries. Everything was very tasty. When we told the waitress that it was our first time there, Tammy herself made us a special free waffle for dessert saying not to put syrup on it! It was light and had a salty sweet taste which was different and quite good. The next time we are in that neighborhood, we'll stop in to try some of the other items! Prices are reasonable.

Young waitress spent more time cleaning then actually taking orders. Never got menus, she did ask if we want drinks eventually but never anything else after walking past us to keep talking to the gentleman at the table across from us.

We stopped in for the first time Saturday morning and liked it so much we went back Sunday. It's a small place that serves breakfast and lunch. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Tammy even took the time to come out of the kitchen and introduce herself. My wife had Tammy's Breakfast Special and I had French Toast and Bacon. The special comes with two egg, two pieces of bacon, home fires and toast for $6.99, it was very good. We liked how the home fries were seasoned. The french toast and bacon was also very good. The have excellent decaf coffee for $2.50 with free refills. Waffles are Tammy's thing so you get a free waffle on your first visit. Waffles are very good and $2.99 each. You can also get toppings and fillings with the waffles. The pancakes are huge but a bit dry. The prices are reasonable. They have off street parking. We are looking forward to trying lunch.

I love everything from the days of old and this world is to fast paced at times so it’s nice to take a step back in time. Wonderful Diner in excellent shape, very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent large amount of food for a cheap price. Definitely a place to eat for breakfast!!!!
