We were walking the GR10 and decided to stay here. When we arrived we thought we would have a drink after a hot days walking. We went to the bar which was covered in the debris of many meals with quite a few customers waiting. No bar staff were in evidence for well over half an hour. When we arrived for dinner a waiter asked us to change tables for no apparent reason, the table was left vacant the whole evening. We were served by the same person who turned out to be quite the rudest waiter my friends and I have had the misfortune to meet in quite sometime. Having said that our meals were acceptable, hence poor rather than terrible. The same waiter asked us how many for breakfast which he said is available from 8.15 next morning. We arrived at 8.15 the sign on the door said the restaurant is closed on Monday. Surely not if we have booked we thought. This assumption was incorrect as there was no activity by 9.00 so we had to leave hungry and angry. Pretty poorly managed and staffed.
Restaurant Iraty is a very good place to spend some good moment with family or friends. We have been there for lunch this Sunday. Interiors are well warm, which is really appreciated when outside is raining! Totally mountain style, we loved it. The food is good, we had a wonderful omelette. Prices are fair. The staff is smiling and welcoming. Sweet spot.
We took menus, the dishes were made at home and good. , easy to carry, children's menus were also very good.
A welcome up for bikers who come after a good foam that you try to eat on site despite the late hour. the whole team is mobilized to serve us a great axoa and a delicious Basque cake. We were thrilled and pushed back. Thank you.
