It was on the way home and not bad evaluated on TripAdvisor so far. We were the second guests and could decide for a table. The restaurant looks renovated and friendly. We received the menue and chosed lasagne con carne and cannelloni with spinacy. For starter we took a garlic bread with mozarella cheese upon recommendation of the waiter. So far everything was OK. The beverages were icy cold too. Garlic bread was delicious but simple. After 10 min we received our main course and also this was a eye catcher. Lasagne in best condition but I missed to taste. The lasagne was heated up from cold and not fresh, which is the first malieur, and more worse it was still cold. Cold means not more than 10°C inside. What the hell is wrong with this cook? I claimed apparently and 15 min later I got a new, smaller portion, in ideal condition. He found a oven, yeah : No excuss or sorry, nothing. This is a blame and for a italian cook a nogo and reason to quit. We received no further service after this incident. But this is really a nogo, even if the good itself was not that bad but a little bit fad. Furthermore the price level is very high in this location. Beer 40cl 5,00EUR excl. tax. Be aware you have to add 7% value add tax to all. Thats special for italian restaurants in LP from what we believe. They are the one and only who do so and thats a pitty when you ask us. What should be the purpose of it? A legal coperto or overall lower prices on menues? No guys, think transparent please. If you are not able to accumulate ask your computer, please. Additional the toilet was not working proberly and was used by waiter too. Terrible.
We got there in the end, but it was worth it! There were five of us staying at the Cristina so we had to wait quite a while until a bigger cab became available to accommodate us. On the way back we just hailed two cabs without any delay. Romeo e Giulietta is a compact, bright little restaurant with (mainly) one or two waiters, who were welcoming and cheerful. We had booked for 8.00 p.m. and they were quite slack at that hour, with the odd trickle of couples coming in as time went on. The selection was pretty good, offering most of the traditional Italian favourites. There was something to suit everyone, nicely cooked and beautifully presented. We were all happy and there were no complaints at all. I had a particularly good steak, cooked to taste, and served with delicious vegetables and excellent chips. We went 'all Native ' with a good Spanish wine, much enjoyed also. For Desserts we favoured the Ice Creams/Strawberries and Cheese Cakes all delicious. The waiter sensed that we had a birthday girl amongst us, so her Cheese Cake arrived with a single red candle burning on top...it was a nice gesture to have bothered with that, as we certainly had not asked for it. We finished off with some good coffee. I think we can all recommend this little place and were glad that we had poked it out. The waiter directed us to the top of the road 2 minutes or less and a couple of cabs came together almost immediately ... great service.
I went along with my boyfriend fro our anniversary, to find a rose on our table when we arrived. Food was exquisite, we had a Sicilian solomillo and pizza bolognesa. both fabulous, home made and an extensive menu, (a nightmare if find it hard to decide on a dish). wonderful atmosphere and great service at a very reasonable price. Would recommend, and am looking forward to coming back.
I love to discover new corners! one thinks he knows his city, that there is nothing that can surprise you and that you can cough with a restaurant that you didn't even know or fall in love in one night. I have already commented on other occasions that I love Italian cuisine, so flavors, its romantic essence, but sometimes it is difficult to find a restaurant that transmits all this Italian outside. But when one afternoon I found a discount of the Romeo and giulietta premium, I decided to try, and good for me! It is a small restaurant, with a few tables inside the local and others on the terrace, very familiar and there were many customers who seemed to be common. the deal is exquisite, the waiters are very kind and that gives the romeo and the giulietta a value added to that of their own letter. the cup included the following dishes: carpaccio calves with rúcula and parmesan mmmmm, I have no more words; roasted mushrooms with shrimp and cheese had never tried it, but I loved it; ravioli four delicious cheeses if like me the blue cheese was the most remarkable cheese; torteballiella shepherd, ; lambrusco and postre bottle, a pompeyano powder that I am to say to finish, I can only say that I will return to the romeo and the giulietta, both for their excellent cuisine and for their most skillful service. 100% recommended
The exact words are good service, good food and good atmosphere. the only glue is the lack of space in the local, since it is not a very large restaurant. but I recommend it, for your food and service, although I recommend a table in the outside area.
