Gran Canaria island is a sea food haven and we been in super market and we wanted to buy fresh fish. We asked , is there any restsurant will cook this tor us and they sent us one restaurant which did not cook. On the way back we came to this restaurant and we asked to manager, is it possible to cook this for us? Then we also would like to have some starters and salat side exacta with it. We have given 3 sea bass fish to menager and ordered, calamari, salat, and chips and some drinks. Our drinks arrived strait away and 10 minutes later salat, calamari and chips arrived. We said can you grill our fish please and they said yes. After half an hour , i asked is it our fish coming they said yes its coming but fish didn’t come some how. After 1 hour and 20 minutes our fish is came but it is been fried not grilled. We were full and kids was already fallen to sleep. My wife had only one fish and we haven’t touched other our fishes. Well we come to eat this 3 sea bass fish but menager thinks he is too clever hr want us to eat from restaurant some thing else then after will bring our fish. Also we paid 39 euro for this dirty place. I really wonder is there any authority to stop this rip off place.
The restaurant is located in a small street close to the beach of Las canteras, and visited essentially by spanish folks (at least this is what we heard when we went there twice for lunch and dinner). We took the grilled fish of the day (pescado del dia grilled or fried), served with potatoes (papas arrugadas or papas fritas), and vegetable (tomato, lettuce, cucumber). Each time, the food was very good, at a very decent price, and all this, in a friendly atmosphere Around 25€ for 2 persons fish of the day and beers included. The restaurant is maybe not a trendy one, but the food and the service are more important (content vs form as I quoted in other reviews)
When sitting down the first thing I regognized was the friendly atmosphere. An older canaria man, who was a guest ask us to sit down, pointing at a free table saying it 's economic here . It not fancy at all that is the point. It is of high class for less euros.
Prices were good, but food was fairly common and the swordfish was dry. The soup was very good and the location is right off the beach. French fries were a little bit underdone and soggy.
