I have been looking for a good pastrami sandwich in Vegas since leaving California. Top's Burgers was my favorite in east Pasadena. Sammy's has gotten close to making the sandwich that I loved since first having one in 1976.
Last time I got the same thing, a Ruben. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I got another one tonight and I am beyond disappointed! When I got home and went to take a bite the bread was soggy. It was so soaked and mushy it was not edible. I ended up taking the soggy bread off. For almost 15 dollars for a Ruben the entire sandwich should be edible. I'm really bummed and turned off now from this place. I don't know if I will ever return.
The lamb gyro with feta was the best in town for years. It 's no longer on the menu. Tried the famous pastrami burger, it came well done dry. All the Best of Vegas banners are from a time long long ago. The small interior dining room was locked. Had to eat outside in 100° heat. Disappointed, used to love this place, brought all friends family here when they visited, but tonite was my last time
I can't remember the name of there food challenge. It was great food.
