I'm not a huge fan of downtown because it's pretty run down and not well maintained. You will have to pay for parking, but there are parking areas next to and across the street from the restaurant. I enjoyed the carne asada fries I had the first time I went. My boyfriend said the ranchero bowl was good but the portion size for it was a little small. I'm a huge fan of bottomless mimosas! Unfortunately, so is everyone else. They may be low staffed, but when you pay for bottomless mimosas you would hope that your waiter would be around to get you another mimosa. We waited a long time for every round of mimosas. Even after flagging down the waiter and requesting them, they still took awhile to bring them out. At that point bottomless mimosas weren't worth it. I would suggest, if you are low staffed, bringing a pitcher with glasses for those who request bottomless mimosas.
I love this place! It is downtown near the Container Park! I've been here at least five times and the food and service is excellent! They serve delicious margaritas and chips and salsa too. This would be a great place to come with your friends for happy hour! I enjoyed their fish tacos and carne asada tacos each time!
It's a good place to order some drinks after you are tired of walking around Fremont street! The drinks there are very good, nice service, interesting cozy environment.
Stopped in on a whim after being overwhelmed by Fremont st- so glad we did! It was basically empty at 2pm on a Saturday so we grabbed bar seats and chatted with the bartender. We both got prickly pear margaritas (yum! , and mom got a salad that she raves about. Complimentary chips and salsa were a fun surprise and certainly a highlight! Would 10/10 come back here- great quiet spot amidst so much hustle and bustle
We have been here enough times at this point to know not to come back. Unfortunately. The service is always slow, even though the restaurant is never that busy. The food is overpriced and takes a really long time to come out. On today 's visit, we were asked if we had reservations when the place was empty. Told we couldn 't bring our stroller in (baby was sleeping in it . I mean I get it if the restaurant is full and they need the space. But when it 's empty? Also, one basket of chips is complimentary and it 's $3 a basket after that. Even though our bill was $145. They did give us another little plate of rice though after my daughter threw up in the first one ; I don 't want to be a petty complainer. Even though I am lol. The place has So much potential location is good, patio is cute, restaurant is pretty, menu is decent. But after waiting so long for overpriced food esp as a local when there are tons of other good Mexican food places and other cute restaurants nearby is just a waste. Sorry La Comida.
