Feedback gevenWhoa. Yellowtail tasted way too "fishy" and the so-called pastrami shortribs were greasy pastrami. Both were $ 30. Robbery. We gave our feedback to the bartender (we were sitting at the bar) and he made no effort to "get it right". I will not be back. The dining room was nice ... parking was awful in the neighborhood.
The restaurant has a nice and cozy atmosphere with a small yet well-curated beer selection. The food is excellent as well, with starters that may seem a bit pricey for a gastropub but are comparable in complexity and taste to dishes found in upscale restaurants, making it a unique find in the outer mission / Bernal area. If you're in the mood for delicious appetizers, fantastic cocktails, and quality beer in the neighborhood, I highly recommend this place.
The atmosphere and service at this restaurant were excellent. I found the menu to be distinct from others in the same category, which I enjoyed. However, none of the dishes really wowed me.
I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great.
The hamburger was delicious, but there was no indication that it was a small portion. It would have been helpful to be informed beforehand so we could have ordered more food.
