We waited 50 minutes for our takeaway at 6pm. We finally got home and the food was terrible. The tom yum was literally the consistency of water, the kway teow was mushy and tasteless, the chicken in the briyani was undercooked and and rice itself only tasted like cloves. Even the teh tarik wasn't drinkable! We were given a free one for the wait (we were only apologised to at the end) but it doesn't count if it's not drinkable. Almost 1 hour for takeaway and it was rubbish!
I grew up in Malaysia and I can tell you that the food here is the pits! I've been to this cafe twice because the first time I couldn't believe it was so bad and decided to give them a chance. There's a girl behind the counter who listens to her iphone earphones while serving you. And she's thick as the proverbial couldn't even calculate the correct change to give me out of $5. There were only 3 people in the cafe me and a couple at another table. They were there a good half hour before me and the waitress served my food to them after I'd already paid for it! Luckily they sent it on to me. I had a lamb briyani and it was a shocker! Absolute shocker. It was microwaved rice (some hint of nasi kunyit about it) and an apology to mutton dhalcha. The meat was fatty and the gravy was watery. I was pissed off I ordered an onion omelette to eat with the rice. There were no other orders and no other diners and yet the cook took a good 10 minutes to fry one lousy egg with onions in it. The papadaum served was soft and no crispiness in it. The first time I went there I had a very bland mee goreng. Guys you need to lift your act seriously. Your prices are cheap I'll admit but because they're so cheap , your food is also cheap and nasty. Charge a bit more, use better ingredients and puhlease improve your craft. Never again. Is it any surprise there are no Malays eating in there? If there was a minus score I'd certainly give it.
The best, yummy and friendly, the staff went out of their way to accommodate the kids! Speaking of kids, they demolished the chicken rice and said best ever!
Very good food, and really nice people. The kuih is delicious. Only one minor problem is if you want anything from their special menu you must call and order 2hours in advance. Other than that the service is great and there is a good variety of food. Terima kasih, jumpa lagi :
