Feedback gevenSix weeks ago, I returned to order an acai bowl, but was denied because they were about to close, even though it wasn’t yet 9:00 PM. I asked the employee if the owner would be pleased to know they were turning away customers, and he simply replied no but still refused to serve me. Disheartened, I left. Last night, around 8:30 PM, I attempted to order an acai bowl again, but a female employee also denied me. When I questioned her about the owner's potential displeasure at turning away paying customers, she said she didn't know but that this was her usual practice. This morning, I called the corporate office at 11:20 AM (1:20 PM Texas time) and was only given the option to leave a message. I genuinely want the owner to understand my frustration as I have tried to support this business but have repeatedly encountered unsatisfactory experiences. I had hoped to enjoy an acai bowl last night, and it’s disheartening to feel that the owner may not care about the customer service being provided by their staff. I frequently stay at the Riverside Resort and have yet to see a significant number of customers at Red Mango, which may be due to poor customer satisfaction. I really wish I could provide a better review, but I cannot encourage anyone to visit based on my four negative experiences. I even tried contacting the Harrah's location, as I was told both establishments are owned by the same person, but they didn’t bother to answer the phone during their stated open hours.
Two days ago, I tried to order ice cream for my daughter after dinner, but the server told me they were closed. I walked by about ten minutes later, and she was serving ice cream to another customer. When I asked why, she replied that she only had ice cream now. It seemed like she didn't want to assist us at all.
This restaurant is incredible! You can see them prepare fresh juice right before your eyes! The service was satisfactory, but the food and fresh juice were outstanding.
The biggest letdown occurred when I went outside and took my first bite. It was frozen solid! I basically had ice cream for breakfast, but it had a gritty texture and lacked any flavor. It brought back memories of when I was a kid and would sip all the syrup from my slurpee, ending up with just tasteless ice. I ended up eating the fruit and Nutella, but I had to throw the rest away. What a shame!
The food and smoothies are quite tasty, and the service is very friendly. However, the establishment appears to be facing some logistical challenges. For instance, they were unable to locate the register key, and the yogurt machine was out of order—it just needed a five-minute startup. Unfortunately, the cashier didn't mention this to me, but the gentleman behind me in line did. I would have been happy to wait if I had been informed.
