Tailrace Cafe - Launceston

Only four options on the menu available there used to be more. Still I managed to find something I like. The staff were friendly and prompt with the service, nice atmosphere.

We had a family outing and the grandkids had a ball plaing the their play area. I thought that $7 per child was a bit of big ask. $2 per child would have been more realistic. We stayed for lunch and the prices were a bit over the top for their pizza's. We had Garlic and Cheese regular which looked rather small $11.95 and a BBQ large which looked more like medium $17.95. I found the Garlic and Cheese was almost tasteless and the BBQ had a little more flavour but not that special. Could not recommend either of them. Coffee's and wine and hash browns were reasonably priced. All in all it was a nice family day out but the food was nothing special quite ordinary really.
