The atmosphere was very inviting with the wait staff ushering us to our table promptly and placing napkins on each of our laps whilst mentioning the delicious specials of the day. I had the scallops for an entrée on top of a mash and I wished I had ordered these as a main course size even though it was quite a filling dish. I then moved onto the Chicken dish for main course and honestly the chicken just melted in your mouth, I didn't know how I was going to eat it all as the serving sizes are reasonable but I managed in the end but there was no room for desert which I might mention looked absolutely amazing and so did the tasting platters that were being served into the café. They had a lovely range of Tasmanian wines to choose from too.The prices were quite reasonable with entrees ranging around $15-$20 and main course meals around the $30 mark. I would love to return again just to enjoy the scallops but I would also like to try the food in the café.
We had lunch here. It was most enjoyable. The scallops were delicious. The menu offers plenty of choice. The complex is owned by Joseph Chromy. He also has a restaurant and vineyards at Relbia. Also well worth a visit.
Been meaning to get here for months. Finally got here today only to be advised they're closing in 58 minutes. Bit of a shame as six quality beers on tap, and tasting paddles, in a very pleasant setting. Brewery is not closing but Penny Royal venue is. For the record I enjoyed my single pale ale.
Had a nice drink from here, friendly staff and very helpful, always a nice place for a refreshing beer and something to nibble on.
Great customer service by the ladies and tasty, scrumptious food! Will go back if we are in the area.
