I put that stuff on my burger, fries, and wings at the restaurant and I was honestly blown, it tastes like a mix between standard rib rub, white peppercorn, and Andy?s hot fries, and I have no idea how. Thankfully they let me buy a pint of it and now I?m putting it on everything I eat, stuff is incredible!
Great service and old Town vibe. Food was really good and will be back
This was our first time, and we were not impressed. The waiter did greet us upon entry and seat us; however, he was really impatient when it came to taking our order. Since this was our first visit, we had to peruse the menu. He was clearly annoyed by that. He was knowledgeable, but after he explained, he wanted the order. Then, once we did order, he collected our menus while I was looking at it. We really did not understand his impatience since the place was nearly empty. Both of our silverware came with a knife and salad fork, which is odd. One lady, who clearly was a regular, sat at the bar chatting with the bartender. She was there before we arrived and after we left. Others who came later, were picking up take-out. As it got closer to 4pm, which is when happy hour begins, more regulars entered. One woman brought a bowl of yarn and sat at the bar to knit! My co-worker enjoyed his food, but my Catfish was not freshly caught; it was from a frozen box and cut thin. It looked and tasted like the cheap frozen warm-up fish they sell in the grocery store, definitely not worth $16.99. My drink, a Bahama mama was good, and we both enjoyed our hush puppies. Each table was stocked with condiments and alcohol wipes. The ketchup was nearly empty and thin, like water had been added to it. The atmosphere was that of a country bar, dark and dimly lit. Small flay screen TVs were only at the bar. The bathroom was clean and stocked. Parking is on the street, so it is limited.
Always a great stop. Their ribs absolutely stomp other franchise places. Pulled pork, potato salad and banana pudding also not to be missed. Friendly and attentive service. Don't pass it up!
I must say that I was very disappointed with my food. I ordered the Tennessee triple and it was awful. I asked for pull pork but got chicken, the brisket was dry and not seasoned at all and my ribs were dry as well. I ordered the chopped salad with no meat of course it came with shredded chicken. I got the so-called jumbo wings and got some dried-up wings instead with no sauce as I ordered. I don't usually post but for $60 this meal was horrible. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I tried calling to get a refund and all three times it went to voicemail which by the way was full. I will never again order from this restaurant.
