I've driven by here numerous times and the smoked cheesesteak always caught my eye. I was in the area around lunchtime and thought it was a good opportunity to satisfy my curiosity. The cheesesteak goes by the name Smoker. They also have a chicken version but I stayed with the beef. The sandwich was a different change of pace than the traditional classic. Being a BBQ joint, I guess you almost have to add a BBQ spin on it. It was very good and had the perfect subtle taste of smokiness to it. It had plenty of cheese throughout the sandwich. The only downside of the sandwich was the roll. I felt it was a little too soft for a meaty sandwich and could've used a harder roll. As for the fries it came with? WORST. FRIES. EVER. If I could post negative star reviews on Yelp, I'd write a separate one for the fries. Not only did the give me the XS (Extra Small) size, they were mushy and soggy. I was shocked to see how little of a portion I got. Note the picture I did not eat any before taking the picture.
I had decided to go to lunch with my brother, and he suggested Seymour's. I looked it up online and it looked good. We walked in the door and were blown away by the smell of smoking (in a good way! The owner greeted us in a very friendly way, and made some suggestions. I ordered the smoked cheesesteak special, and my brother did the same but split it with my niece, with her half without peppers and onions. When we got our order, it was worth the wait. Delicious! Just the right amount of smoking, with their own smoked provalone on top. Would come back, would recommend!! The music is on point too, classic Motown.
My wife and I tried this place for the first time yesterday. We ordered the smoked chick cheesesteak and it was delicious. The smoke flavors in the meat was on point and it was definitely worth the money. This will be one place I go when I'm in the mood for a good cheesesteak
I 'm like a 2 minute drive away from this place and driving past it everyday seeing the smoker out front enticed you to try this place out. Well that wasn 't my smartest decision. I don 't know what happened but i received some of the worst barbecue me and my friend had ever tried in our lives. I order a half pound of burnt ends and they were the driest unappetizing burnt ends ive ever seen in my life. They splintered in your mouth it was horrid. The brisket that the owner said was just cut was terrible as well. Super thin cut which was automatically weird to me, really big fat cap on the brisket almost inedible the fat wasn 't even rendered down. The Mac n cheese was an embarrassment to Mac n Cheese. The cheese wasn 't even melted in the Mac n cheese!? But the top was hard as a rock. It was truly mind bottling there was no creamy aspect to it at all. I couldn 't even bother tried the green beans as they looked pale and smelled a little off anyway. The cornbread was ok but still wasn 't impressed by it. The Sprite I got was the best thing I had in the meal. Idk if I went there on a bad day or what but I literally threw away 40 dollars because I couldn 't eat anything.
