We stayed three times in Cipriano during our short stay in Lausanne. It has a beautiful terrace with high tables, normal tables and deck chairs and sofas. We were impressed by the efficient and very friendly service we received, especially by the young man who served us mainly. Gracias, Sebastian...!
My wife and had to dive into the Flon area of Lausanne to carry out her biometric examination for her work permit this morning. It was a gray and pathetic November day and we then tied a coffee at Cipriano Cafe. It looked like a standard café from the outside. We immediately sat inside and waited some time to serve, despite the fact that there are 3 waiting staff for the duty that seemed to be around behind the bar. After all, the waitress came by and we ordered two Cafe Lattes. We waited some time before they arrived, despite the fact that there was practically no one in the café. When they arrived, they consisted predominantly of steamed milk. Neither of us could taste an ounce of coffee in them, and if the milk is stirred into the rest of the glass, making an insipid bland, milky excuse for a coffee. We decided that it was not worth complaining about it, so we decided to be on the way. The invoice totalled CHF 15 (7.50 CHF per coffee). I took a double take and said to the waiter. I thought there was a mistake. He answered No, I fear not and then said welcome to Lausanne. We make the most expensive cafe latte in the flea as if it were something to be proud. I was absolutely unbelievable and totally unbelievable. This is not a 5-star hotel or the Ritz in London, it is a simple café in an artsy area of the city. I have to say we will not go back and recommend to everyone to give this place a huge bodily pig. The staff was slow, the coffee was lazy and the price was absolutely annoying. Don't waste your money here!
In Lausanne for a week,I have stopped in each day, for a spritz, for wine, for tuna bruschetta, all perfect .... but their vitello tonnato is beyond compare! Too much for me to eat!
We had a wonderful afternoon in Cipriano. Alex is a big waiter, and he gave us one of the best services in the last 21 years in Switzerland with my mother and husband
