El Chiringuito - Lausanne

We went for lunch on a sunny cold day and the restaurant had a table ready. There were a number of customers and the atmosphere and the service was cordial. We ordered a seafood platter first course and it was very good, particularly the sardines. But the seafood paella wasn't so good, there were too much peas (neither of us likes peas as a personal preference) and too oily.

A wide range of Spanish food, well-prepared and promptly served. Brilliant paellas, tapas etc, and a nice local wine by the carafe if requested. Inside tables are available, but the pavement outside was excellent. It's a pedestrian area, so there's a bare minimum of permitted traffic. The cheerful smiles of the restaurateur and his staff on our frequent visits helped make our holiday in Lausanne a very happy one, and we shall hope to return in the future.
