Le Commensal - Laval

I'm pretty positive this place has changed their name since I first went here in about 1994.

This place is delicious! I "did it wrong" aka didn't get the buffet, but I ordered the tofu curry sandwich, and it was amazing.

We chose two grilled sandwiches from the glass case next to the tillThey wereabsolutely delicious! No boring tempeh, tofu, or veggie paté taste.

The Commensal in Laval was a veggie buffet during summer 2012, I heard that they now serve also conventionnal cuisine. Everything was outstanding, creative, tastefull, a real pleasure. The choice was HUGE. The cafeteria style main room was spotless and comfortable. The meals ( you choose what you want ) were sold by the pound. At the cashier they put your dish on a scale. Quite expensive for a self service but it's a no compromise lunch, the quality is at a high level.
