Cafe Univers - Laval

This restaurant is one of the best in the Montreal and Laval area. The food is delicious and prepared in a unique and different way compared to other late-night cafe-style restaurants. The drinks are also unique, especially their famous martinis. The atmosphere is fantastic, making it one of my all-time favorite restaurants.

We were hesitant to enter this place because it looked closed. The place was completely empty when we walked in, but we were greeted by such a friendly guy, who was also our server; his name was Matthew. He was helpful translating the menu for...us and was very polite, made great eye contact, and always had a smile on his face. We ended up having to wait a while for our food (3 NY Strips), but when they finally came, it was one of the best steaks we've ever had! We all said it was worth the wait and are considering eating there again tomorrow night. The steaks came with mushrooms, green beans, French firies, some kind of gravy, and they were topped with onion strings. Soooooo good! The music was a little loud, but the food and our server made it tolerable. Very glad we decided to walk into this place.

The restaurant has a trendy atmosphere and a lovely terrace. It is an excellent late-night dining option in Laval. If you're looking for a place to have a drink and grab a late-night bite, Universe is the place to go! I highly recommend trying the Brie fondue, Mini Burgers, and their French Fries. They sometimes have a DJ on weekends, so it can get pretty crowded.

The title of this restaurant review says it all - a group of thieves. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money or time here. The clientele consists mainly of children, and they don't even know how to make a proper cup of tea.
