I visited this place as part of a family outing to celebrate the birthday of a relative. We were a big group and I loved this place. Here's how my experience went:1- LocationIf you are familiar with the Laval area, you will probably associate the old st. Rose (location of the restaurant) with the genuine local experience of Quebec. The street is just magical and still holds the old buildings and strictures that were built, some a century ago. The restaurant is located not far from the entrance to the old area and very close to the beautiful church of St. Rose. Access to the area is easier by car than in any other means and it is actually simple since there are plenty of parking spaces all around the area. 2- The place itselfIt shows that it is a family business that has been in restaurants for some time. It also seems that the owners are well known in the area since everybody coming in greets and socializes with them. This is actually a typical occurrence in such places since the clientele would have been part of the everyday social circle of the owners. I loved it as it actually adds to the whole genuine feel of the place. It has two seating areas, an indoor one being the largest and an outdoor one at the back of the place about a little less than half the area of the indoor one. The restaurant is nicely decorated with an Italian feel to reflect it main theme and tables are quite spacious and distant from one another in the indoor seating area. Can't say the same about the outdoor one. While i was not sitting outside but I had a vow on it and it showed that tables are closer to one another The restaurant is not luxurious but it boasts a beautiful simplicity and charm that are very striking and attaching.3- Menu and serviceWell it is fully Italian and offers the genuine pasta meals from spaghettis to Lasagna and they are just wonderful for people with large appetites since portions are quite generous. There are a lot of flavours in the offering but you might still feel better meals in other Italian restaurants more towards Montreal on the Little Italy sector. As for the service, there was a little wait between the time we order and when we got served. Maybe it was because our party was large but it took a solid 15 min to have my lasagna served. What I loved most about the service are a couple of singers (who I believe are the owners), taking on guitars and singing local Quebec songs and seeing a few seconds later how everybody engages with them and the entire restaurant singing and dancing. You just got to love thatI recommend this restaurant if you happen to be passing by the area or if you live there. I you are from Montreal or closer to the city you might want to catch the genuine Italian feel and taste that the city is known for***Please like this review if you find it helpful. This restaurant is horrible My girlfriend wanted to treat me to a small cosy restaurant As soon as we walked in I found it looked a little dumpy they even have folding chairs To start it must have been 80 degrees in the restaurant they had the windows open not screens to keep the fly's out.We arrived at five no one in the restaurant and they looked too busy to serve us.I ordered a **** marry to start well it looked like it came out of a canThen we ordered first to come was the salade and salade it was nothing on it but the sauce. never had a bad salade then that one then apologise about out main meal being late.I had the lasagna daughter a pizza and wife had some type of pastaMy lasagna was frozen diner quality my daughter pizza was horrible and not cooked to perfection you could say.Wife's pasta was the lease worse no ice in the ice bucket for the wine.waitresses were running around for a few customers like it was a full house.I could have purchased a frozen dinner and would have been more impressed.they even offer cooking lessens HA that's a joke! I paid $22.00 for a lasagna what a joke!
Not a very good designer, to say the least Wound up being almost impossible to work with, due to a horrific attitude and lazy work ethic.
He started good but right after I made full payment, stopped responding to my emails. I do not recommend.
