Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Very short staff. Just wait three. 45 minutes wait for 2 people and less than half of the tables to be used. Then it took 45 minutes to eat. I understand it's hard to get help and not to blame the restaurant. Just frustrating. I saw the store was overcrowded. Five employees I counted. Move them to the tables. Maybe a cross training? Eating was good, just slow.

We were on our way to SC and stopped here for brunch. They were a little busy. Due to being short staffed, food and service was delayed. But it?s okay bc we understand. It?s the same everywhere. Hopefully they can find more ppl soon as the demand for restaurants is increasing rapidly. Thank you for the good lunch.

The food was good as always, our waitress could have been a little more attentive. For once I wanted dessert but she brought us the ticket and said have a nice day. So I decided to pass

I ordered over the phone and got to the restaurant within 18 minutes. The front cashier had no idea about the order. She asked a guy at the restaurants counter and he stated that he had too many customers to check. 10 min went by, still no order. I asked should I reorder and she said it's coming. Still waiting a few more minutes while I watch the excellent customers service to the other customers, not the same greeting for me. The young guy eventually brought out my order with no tickets to pay. I could have left without paying, but due to I am a restaurant owner, I will never walk out on paying. I told the lady at the register and had to give her my order again. No thank you for the wait, no expression when I told her I didn't pay for the food, no nothing. I paid for my order and she said next customer, like I was in the way. The next customers was greeted and complemented. Okay...I was very disappointed due to the food was cold and dry after waiting for it. Biscuits was hard, pancakes dry, sausage was overcooked and tasted like beef jerky. Only thing I was able to eat was the grits and eggs. Everything else was thrown away. Big disappointment. I should have walked out on the bill. I will cook breakfast in my kitchen the next time.

First time here. Pasting through stopped for lunch. The fish had flour batter. Too hard. The roast beef was great, very tender and seasoned. The salad was fresh and delicious. The mac and cheese was ok, would rather have had yellow cheese instead of white. The waiter was very understanding. The cornbread was good. We could have just ordered that with some soup and would of did better.
