This review includes two visits at the ondori noodle shop. the first took place during the soft opening on 12/26/2018. the second was 12/30/2018. overall the mood of this restaurant is very modern, many black and red and photos of city scenes on the walls. each table top is pine wood, so the whole place feels warm. the kitchen is closed so they never see the cook. the service is fast and the team is very good overall. only enough attention, without being overlaid, very polite. everything was hot. in comparison to other places that serve nudels in lawrence, ks, ondori has the variety of styles. there are at least Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese nudel options. the ingredients are high quality and there is carefree in the way each plate is prepared and served. These people are obviously proud of what they do and have fun with it. I'll be back. ondori is a great addition to the lawrence food scene. the mala alone is enough to make a month worth a visit. living in the neighbourhood, I could just. here is what was ordered on each visit: first time (spray only) black garlic japchae second time (date with girlfriend) mala tang no 5 chef’s special pho korean bbq wing was the only thing I had a problem and that could be because it was my first time, was order. What are you doing? should I order first? there must be a sign or something to order the customer first sit down. the input is only far enough away from the counter to ask first timer what they need to do. I saw that at least one dozen people have difficulty knowing how to move through the room. a last point, for people who like to sit on hockey and watch people while eating, ondori has taken over one of the best filials in the mass street. with louise above the road and 10. is a high traffic area, they are sure to live a great view of lawrence nightlife.
What a great place to get delicious food! my visit on soft opening day, December 26 was probably one of the best experiences in a restaurant in lawrence. the personal was very courteous and nice. the food was fantastic and all my family and guests enjoyed their meal. Even my 5 years old loved her eating! is not pricy for the amount of food they get, they have a great selection of rams and pho, everything was made to order and they can get their dish as sharp as they want! also their desert selection is to die for! great restaurant to visit more than once. I recommend it very much!
Neat new Ramen place in downtown Lawrence, only a block away from another Ramen place. Nice decor, clean, yummy dishes. We tried the Aged Shrimp Shiomai, Bibimbap and Kara Ramen. Will try different menu items next time to try.
I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The noodles were some of the best I've had in the area. I've been to several noodle shops where the proportions were off, but here the amount of noodles, broth, protein, and veggies was perfect. The wings were also delicious. The service was excellent, with staff who were informative and helpful.
