We came to Pakwan Grill an year back. Loved their food and service then. We came to lunch here thinking of getting the same experience. Unfortunately food, service everything was a big disappointment. The food had so much artificial color and I shared the pic for reference. Avoid this restaurant for your good health.
Disappointing let down. I have come to this restaurant several times and each experience has been more disappointing than the last. During our last visit we waited nearly an hour for our food and when we got it, several aspects were wrong. Items were missing. The food itself tastes bland, cold and unimaginative. The restaurant is built with fusion cuisine in mind and that was complete absent. On top of that every fried item was over-fried. Burger patties were tough and rubbery. You only taste oil. No flavor, no spice. It's depressing. It would be nice for things to be turned around but that remains to be seen.
I am really upset with Pakwan Grill 8 Fahrennheit I miss the previous management they were so respectful, since they left the new management at pakwan grill customer service is very very rude no respect for customer, it is not the first time that has happened to me this was like my third encounter they have embarrassed me with rudeness yes I went back because of convenience not Bc I enjoy. I order the food ahead I know they are slow so the food is never ready so I went in to pick up 10 minutes later than the original time they told me, I waited at the counter for good 5 minutes before I asked for help after another 2 3 minutes someone came out I asked them if the food was ready they said yes obviously and than waited another 10 minutes nobody brought out anything, than he came out again bc the phone was ringing I asked about the food he said it’s ready he went back inside another 5 minutes go by now I am getting impatient also I saw the the kitchen door open try to talk through the counter can I get my to go please he said oh it will take another 5 minutes know it’s been 25 minutes me waiting in the restaurant for a chicken Philly that was order ahead over the phone I said I don’t have that time please I really have to be somewhere I am already late Bc I have been waiting for the food and his response was with his loud rude hand gesture while saying than go away leave so I left by the way they were not even that busy
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pakwan, which offers a wide range of traditional Pakistani dishes with a modern twist. While the restaurant was understaffed during my visit, the staff was working tirelessly to make sure everyone was taken care of.The first thing that caught my attention was the menu, which features a variety of appetizing options. I decided to try the chicken tikka Philly sandwich, which was a mouth-watering combination of tender chicken, sautéed onions and peppers, and a spicy sauce served with a side of fries. The bread was soft and fresh, and the sandwich had just the right amount of heat. Another standout was the aloo tikki sandwich, which was a delicious combination of mashed potatoes, peas, and spices, wrapped in a bun.But the real star of the show was the beef nihari, a slow-cooked beef stew that was bursting with authentic flavor. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the gravy was rich and savory. I paired it with plump naan, which was freshly baked and had just the right amount of chewiness. However, the beef kabab roll that we ordered was just ok.For dessert, we tried the rolled ice cream, which was a delightful treat that was as fun to watch being made as it was to eat. The desi chai was another highlight, a strong and flavorful tea that was the perfect way to cap off the meal.Despite the restaurant being understaffed, the staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure everyone was satisfied. They are clearly dedicated to their craft, and it shows in the quality of the food they serve. While the restaurant is relatively new and the owners could use some help promoting their business, I have no doubt that word of mouth will quickly spread and Pakwan will become a go-to spot for Pakistani cuisine in the area.To add to the already impressive menu, I just found out that starting tomorrow (4/29/23), Pakwan will be serving a halwa puri platter with Chana, aloo bhujia and qeema from 12-3p on the weekends. I am already looking forward to trying it out! The combination of the sweet halwa and the savory chana, aloo bhujia and qeema is a classic Pakistani breakfast staple, and I am excited to see how Pakwan puts their own spin on it.Given the high quality of the food that I have already tried at Pakwan, I have no doubt that the halwa puri platter will be just as delicious. The thought of fluffy puris, hot and spicy chana, aloo bhujia, and rich and flavorful qeema is making my mouth water already!I have been thoroughly impressed with my experience at Pakwan, from the dedicated staff to the innovative twists on traditional dishes. The addition of the halwa puri platter only solidifies my belief that this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Pakistani cuisine.Overall, I highly recommend Pakwan for anyone who is looking for delicious Pakistani food with a modern twist. The menu has something for everyone, and the staff is dedicated to making sure you have a memorable dining experience.
