I happened to see it on the way to another, less appealing place, and ended up having a perfectly delightful lunch with a friend. The menu is eclectic, which means that everyone can find something worth having. My friend had the burger and fries (elevated to something truly special with duck fat in the burger and garlic aioli for divinely crisped fries). I had the grilled shrimp salad, which sounds too dull until you taste the perfectly balanced flavors combined therein. We also took a swing at the charred octopus, which is Parkside's more sophisticated answer to fried calamari. I enjoyed it. My friend was less enthusiastic. Libations: HAVE SOME! The Parkside Reviver No. 2 is extraordinary. I can't speak to any of the other cocktails because I could not be diverted from the Reviver, but my friend assured me that her Whisky Cosmo was delightful. Dessert was chocolate bread pudding. This is what brownies wish they could be, only a little lighter and served with Dark. Chocolate. Ice Cream. How could I not? Jared was our server and a complete delight. He knows the menu, likes the food, and seems to really enjoy his work. He turned what was already a lovely lunch into an exuberant afternoon festivity, and we lingered longer than we should have, given our schedule. I can't say enough good things about this accidental find on a Wednesday afternoon.
Had a great burger. As usual it’s tougher not to give them a 5, such a great experience. While it was not just the very best burger I’ve ever had, it certainly is a top 10, maybe even top 5. I’ll be back to try some of their other great looking regular menu options.
The menu was awesome! The food was fresh unlike any where I’ve been before. There is something for everyone! I am a fan! Our server, Manuel was the best! I met several friends there and Manuel took awesome care of us! My water glass never was empty. I tried the strawberry lemonade with a rum in it, so yummy! I want to try the brunch on Sunday! I will be back for sure! Thank you for a great evening!
We had a party of 11. Our server was Dane. He was awesome best server of all time. Ordered a variety of items from the menu. Blackened trout was excellent. Gouda Grits were delicious. The entire dining experience was perfect. If you go, make sure you ask for Dane.
I wished I lived closer so that I could expirience this place more often. The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is cozy. Our waiter was the best! It will certainly be my favorite place to dine whenever I am in Lawrenceville.
