La Grillerade - Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré

Some lovely outdoor seating very close to the beach. Staff were very nice. However, as seems to be the case with a lot of places in Il de Re, the service is very slow from being seated, to placing an order, to receiving food. Worth keeping mins especially if eating with young kids that need to be back home for bed time. From a food perspective I had the redfish, which was nice but a little lacking in flavour due to lack of sauce which was served with it.

If you are in the area of Bois Plage en Ré, the stop in this restaurant is indispensable. We went there a Saturday night. The service was very professional and pleasant. For dishes, the quality is at the rendezvous as well as the quantity. Some dishes are revisited like goat milk cheesecake, a real treat! Too bad we didn't live nearby. I recommend warmly
