A return visit and if anything Chez Jo had improved on last year! The most delicious langouste, potatoes and garlicky tomatoes and a mystère glacé to finish. Simple but divine. Service was great. Bill a little steep! Roll on next year!
Went to Chez Jo after a recommendation from a friend while on holiday in Le Levandou. What an amazing restuarant. Thank God we reserved. The Atmosphere right on the water is always feel good. My husband speaks French so that always helps. The food was amazing. Had the Spaghetti with crayfisch,Yum and my Husband had Salad and grilled Fish. Portions are really good and Seafood is also served on Cork platters from the Chestnut Trees. Insiders get to sit on the sand. Atmosphere is easy going and everything tasts good. Felt like sitting there fours. Chez Jo is worth a try when in the Area. They are closed when it rains. Hope to come again
The menu is very basic: fish, lobster, prawns, omelettes. But don't be fooled, as everything is fresh, beautifully cooked and delicious. Tables are crammed together which adds to a party atmosphere. Staff work hard in challenging conditions. Prices are not cheap. Having said all that, it will probably be the best meal of your holiday! Nudist beach but clothes compulsory for the restaurant. We love this place and look forward to our annual visit.
We arrived to the beach by boat and a young man came and got us on a cute little paddle boat which was pleasant. We waited a short while to be seated and had to flag someone down to order. There were plenty of large groups seated and were quite rowdy but I guess that adds to the atmosphere. The staff were relatively abrupt, I understand it was a busy place but they were not as friendly as you'd think for a family run restaurant. The mussels arrived and were delicious however there were a lot that were still closed so we not edible which is a shame and a waste of money. Our fish arrived a while after which was out of this world! It melted in your mouth and the potatoes with the oil were just incredible! Would definitely return for the fish.
