We were forced to use this place as it was the only restaurant/cafe close to the lifts. The queue for the self service food is ridiculous. On several days during the lunch rush there was only 1 person serving food which meant a 45 minute or longer wait. On our final day I went to the bar to avoid queueing for drinks. I was told that I should order from a waiter at my table due to a lack of cups. I saw many people before and after me being served at the bar. It took me approx 20 mins to get served 4 drinks at my table. Avoid if you possibly can. The food is expensive and not great quality but this makes them the same as most ski resort restaurants in my experience.
It was hard to get a seat at 1.45pm and the place was heaving. But once you have commandered a table you can then queue up for the self service which takes about 20 minutes. That is the downside but to be expected on an eaterie on the slopes. Once we had the food it was delicious. Plenty of choices and all freshly made. Not badly priced either but again, 14 Euros for an omlette is OK on the slopes. I wouldnt pay that in town. Great selection of desserts and salads too.
At the base of the slope there is a lot going on in this area. Plenty of inside and outside tables that offer table service. Big hearty meals are available or just snacks. Service is very friendly and it is the perfect place to relax after making it down the slope!
Best choices were the dishes of the day served in huge portions with a choice of veg and potatoes. Children's meals also pretty good. Salads are a bit overpriced for what you get would be nice if they had a salad bar. Coffee rather expensive. Service friendly.
