Les Terrasses Poulard

Une heure et demi pour servir des plats froids et 30 min de décalage entre le premier et le dernier plat de résistance. À fuir. An hour and à held to be served and 30 min time lap between the first one served and the last one. Do yourself a favour Just pass your way.

We entered the restaurant and the staff was very cold from the first minute. They gave us “the look that you own me money”. And after we asked only for couple of beers, the waiter asked “no food?” I said no and you can see the disappointment in the face. He cleared the table and that was very rude how he did it. First and last time.

I am a wheelchair user. After a tiring trip to to the island we were desperate for a coffee. We saw this place on the way past which advertised itself as a Restaurant and a Bar with soft drink and coffee prices clearly shown. After manoeuvring ourselves in the restaurant a waiter appeared and we requested two coffees with milk (in the French language). Despite the place being only 1/5 full the waiter told us they were only a restaurant and that they could not serve us coffee. We had to make our way out again and re-examined the sign outside which definitely advertised the place as a Restaurant and a Bar. My wife went back inside and enquired inside as to which part of the building we would find the bar. She was told that there was no bar. My wife pointed out that the sign quite clearly stated that the place was a bar. The waiter then commented that the bar facility only opened at 4-00pm. My wife asked where on the sign this was stated and having run out of arguments the waiter simply walked away. Left with the impression that they were hoping to fill all the tables with higher spending meal-purchasing customers and were only interested in profit irrespective of customer requirements. We can see where the overall two star rating comes from and will definitely not be going near this place again. I have attached an image of the restaurant’s outside notice. As you will see it clearly describes the bar facility with no mention of this only opening at 4-00pm.

Absolutely delicious, I had the 24e formula menuNormandy salad with camembert cheese(yum), the cod filet and finished with creme brulé.

The literally only decent aspects of this restaurant were the English menu and the friendly staff.
