Waiter was very confident and checked with the kitchen straight away what I could and couldn't have. The food was delicious and great value. I would highly recommmend this restaurant, for GF and for everyone else.
Came here with 10 friends for lunch. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the food was exceptional. 21 or 29 euro set menus: foie gras, gazpacho, steaks, fish risotto...and lentils of course! Stunning puddings too. I'd love to come back.
We were wandering around Le Puy looking for somewhere to eat. Found lots of places offering crepes /pizza and other tourist fare. Stumbled across this restaurant and, because we were worried it was late in the day (after 8pm) we went in, even though there was only one other table occupied. SO glad we did. Fantastic food, served really well, with attention, but not fussyiness. The food was amazingly delicious and the waiters (who may have been more than waiters) were attentive and watchful. They helped with the pronunciation of drinks we wanted to try (gentian and verveine both local specialities) without making a fuss (which we hate). Aperitifs, three courses plus wine, coffee and a digestive for under €65 (for 2 of us). We were delighted and wanted to book for every evening we're in Le Puy. Sadly, for us, they're only open for Sunday lunch (not in the evening) and they don't open Monday. By the time we left, many more tables were filled with native French speakers.
We spent a good evening to taste local products throughout the meal (savon, lentils, verbena.) well prepared, all watered with a wine of Auvergne origin. the service was well encrypted and without being very professional, quite correct.
Short card but local and quality products Friendly and friendly service The icy verveine foam is excellent, as well as pike requests
