I received a delicious three course meal off the a plaisir menu (several choices). Entree, tarte au camembert with local ham and salad, main of salmon with delicious mixed veg, dessert of raspberries and sorbet on a crispy pastry, all washed down with a half bottle of Chablis, all beautifully presented and served with flair and real friendliness. My bedroom was comfortable, though the bed itself a little hard. This would be a wonderful place from which to explore the Limousin region!
Having been sent away from Logis Le St. Eloi in Solignac - because whilst the restaurant there takes dogs, the hotel does not (hmmm), the Tourist Office recommended La Gratade which is only a couple of kilometres away. Our room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. The restaurant was not full, but the food and wine was excellent. Well cooked, nicely presented and ample. We'd certainly revisit if in the area.
We had a great eveningThe menu offers a lot of choices and they have additional suggestions and a changing daily menu.
Chose this place because of its nearness to the A 20 and the reviews above. Room and bathroom a good size, very clean if a little soulless but with a very comfy bed. Restaurant pretty with smiley staff and an extensive wine list, carte and menus. Starters superb, mains a little disappointing but overall good value and an agreeable experience. Slept very well and started the day with a good fresh breakfast, excellent value at 7euro 50 each. Would recommend and probably return.
