Honestly, while it was a fun experience, I doubt I'd order those fries again. On a positive note, the restaurant itself has a great vibe! It features memorabilia from 50s-era diners, with neon lights and shiny decor outside. The menu also has some fun names for the dishes, and outdoor seating is available. Overall, I had a great experience!
I absolutely love a big burger, fries, and a shake! The burger was tall and juicy – I probably should have shared it! The fries were perfectly crispy and generous in portion. The chocolate shake was enormous and delicious. The atmosphere had a lot of quirky charm, filled with memories from the past, and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that it was a bit chilly in the restaurant, but I guess most people come in fully bundled up for the snow, so the temperature is probably taken into account. So, make sure to bundle up if you visit in winter! The 59r Diner is definitely going to become our new tradition in Leavenworth!
During our two-week stay in Washington, this was the best food we experienced. The burger was cooked to perfection—juicy and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The fries were fantastic: crispy without being dry and just the right amount of salt. I added bacon and avocado to my burger; the avocado was beautiful and perfectly ripe, and they generously gave me half. Both the milkshake and dessert were divine. Overall, the combination of fresh ingredients and excellent service created a perfect dining experience. The atmosphere was lovely, too!
A must if you're in the area, it's worth a stop out of your way! Total 50s style retro diner with great food. Everything was produced locally and the eggs come from the chickens in their own farm (which also like to hang on the outside tables)! The sausage and egg sandwich was delicious and great bang for your Buck! Besides, the shakes were super thick and lovely.
The building alone deserves a 5 star review. My family ate there a few times last summer when we were staying in Plain,WA. Each time we went, everyone went away full and happy. Owner was there 2 out of the 3 visits and was very pleasant. There was a super cool retro vibe. They even had hula hoops outside for anyone willing. You can't miss stopping here if you're near Leavenworth. If it's summer in the Pacific Northwest, eating a big burger and slamming a shake outside at this awesome restored diner will definitely give you a cherished memory.
