The yolk was perfectly gooey, which was a nice touch. Our total came to $28, which included a Diet Coke and apple juice. We visited in November, and it was actually quite cold inside, so we took off our hats and jackets. Unfortunately, the staff appeared to be somewhat disengaged.
I visited this restaurant based on a strong recommendation from hotel staff, and I'm so glad I did. The turkey dish featured pulled turkey instead of the usual deli-sliced variety, which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the house salad was a wonderful combination of fresh greens.
We ordered two take-out breakfast sandwiches, and they were excellent. The service was impressively quick: I placed my order (using my phone light while parked), and by the time I arrived at the restaurant, the sandwiches were ready and still warm. I especially appreciated that the eggs were cooked over medium—this added a delightful moisture to the sandwiches; they were a little messy but definitely worth it. We also tried a chocolate chip cookie and a cowboy cookie, both of which were very good. The brownie was alright, but it didn't leave a lasting impression (though I admit I am quite particular about my brownies!). Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal and look forward to returning during a longer stay in Leavenworth.
We ordered the Super Bowl and the breakfast sandwich with avocado. The food was very delicious and satisfying! I'm not sure how they seasoned the avocado in the breakfast sandwich, but it had a lot of taste! As for the Super Bowl, it was sweet and hearty and also tasted clean. The only drawback was customer service... The woman didn't seem interested in helping us. Along lines, ready to order? Is that all? Your sum is __. Receipt? Thank you. Here's your order. Apart from that, our food was great!
Patio seating with some umbrelas. Great sandwiches. Quality ingredients. Can taste all the fresh ingredients in every bite. Only disappointment was they were closed on Mondays. UPDATE 1 Year later. Still a top place to stop for good sandwiches. Biscuits and gravy (Saturday and Sunday only) loaded were great. One of the better gravy's I've had. Fun idea getting it loaded with stips of yum bacon, cheese and a fried egg. I would want a little more gravy to biscuit ratio but that is because the biscuit is pretty big. Also, I'd ask for the egg to be fried easy as my York was not as runny as I personally prefer (my fault I should have asked). Grilled cheese with bacon and dill pickle on sourdough was great. Good cheese and the pickle was just enough to make the flavor pop. Carrot Cake muffin was good, and moist but the cream cheese frosting was a bit bland.
