Mr. Gyros Greek Food Pastries - Leawood

Honestly, this is my third experience with Greek cuisine, and I've enjoyed it! I tried the lunch special salad along with a steak gyro—something light yet flavorful. I definitely recommend it! Food rating: 4/5.

It's clear that both customers and employees are fed up with businesses that cut corners. You're not benefiting anyone with your high prices or low wages. At this point, you’re on par with food trucks in terms of quality but with much higher overhead costs. Ironically, those food trucks often offer more flavor at a lower price. I genuinely think your business, like many others, is struggling and may not last much longer. The Home Grown restaurant nearby likely won’t make it a year, and your place hasn’t had a good day since before the pandemic. It’s puzzling how some businesses manage to stay afloat—oh right, it’s because they pay such low wages in a city where employees can hardly afford to live.

I have always been a fan of Mr. Gyros and their delicious food! However, this particular location truly stands out for its exceptional customer service. Taylor, who took our order, was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all our questions, ensuring we had everything we needed. It’s rare to come across such high-quality customer service these days, so I felt it was important to give credit where it's due!

I usually visit the location on Metcalf Ave, which is great and the original (to me) which we always make a stop to when visiting KC. This location seemed to be more friendly, but was interestingly empty, and on a Saturday! I am cutting down on the carbs so I had the chopped salad which was good, but could have used more feta. That is one of my favorite protest chants, More Feta! More Feta! More Feta! If you haven 't had a gyro anywhere else, try here first, and every other place will disappoint you. And, I must recommend strongly the Dolmades, served hot (as they always should be) with fresh lemon squeezed over the top of them. The location is okay, dressed up in the usual Greek they have, but alas, the strip mall aesthetic doesn 't do this great restaurant justice. Just sayin '.

I was taking a road trip and happened to have Mr Gyros catch my eye!!! Am sooooooo glad that it did. I love Greek food and Mr Gyros did not disappoint! I highly recommend if you are close to or put traveling to stop by and grab you a gyro, souvlaki shrimp platter and do not forget the yummy baklava! Best restaurant in the leawood Kansas area GUARANTEED! You can thank me later
